Full Grill Restoration Service
A complete teardown, component-by-component rehabilitation, and return to factory-level performance for grills most people would throw away.
Signs Your Grill Needs Restoration, Not Just Cleaning
Years of Accumulated Neglect
The grill has not been cleaned in two, three, or more seasons. The interior is caked with hardened carbon, the grease system is completely packed, and the exterior is oxidized and weather-worn. This is beyond what a standard cleaning can address.
Components Are Failing
Igniters do not spark. Burners light unevenly or not at all. Heat plates are warped. Knobs are stiff or broken. The grill technically works but requires matches, constant adjustment, and tolerance for poor results.
You Are Considering Replacement
A quality gas grill costs $2,000 to $8,000. A premium built-in can run $5,000 to $15,000 or more. Our Full Restoration starts at $375 and brings most grills back to near-original performance. It is the most cost-effective decision before buying new.
The Restoration Process: Component by Component
Full Restoration goes further than deep cleaning. We assess and rehabilitate every part of the grill.
Complete Teardown
Every removable component is taken out: grates, heat plates, burners, warming racks, ignition electrodes, drip system, side shelves, and control knobs. The grill is reduced to its frame so nothing is hidden.
Component Assessment
Each part is individually inspected for structural damage, excessive rust, warping, and wear. We identify what can be restored and what should be replaced, and we explain our findings before proceeding.
Heavy Carbon and Grease Removal
Years of baked-on residue are attacked with extended chemical soaks, aggressive scraping, and multiple degreasing passes. The firebox interior is restored to bare metal where needed.
Stainless Steel Rehabilitation
The exterior stainless is treated for oxidation, water stains, and discoloration. We use progressive polishing compounds matched to the steel grain to restore the original appearance without creating swirl marks.
Functional Restoration
Burner ports are cleared, ignition electrodes are cleaned and gap-checked, gas connections are inspected, and every moving part (lids, doors, dampers) is freed and lubricated if needed.
Full Reassembly and Performance Test
Everything goes back in its correct position. We test fire every burner, verify ignition across all zones, check temperature distribution, and confirm the grease management system flows correctly. The grill leaves our hands ready to cook.
Who Needs Full Restoration?
Restoration vs. Replacement: The Math
The average price of a mid-range gas grill in 2025 is around $1,500. Premium brands like Weber Summit, Napoleon Prestige, and Viking run $3,000 to $8,000. Built-in outdoor kitchen grills by Lynx, Hestan, or DCS start at $5,000 and go well past $15,000. Our Full Restoration starts at $375.
In the majority of cases, a grill that looks like it is finished actually has years of life left in it once the accumulated grease, carbon, and corrosion are removed. The frame, firebox, and main structure of most quality grills are built to last 15 to 20 years. What fails first are the consumable components — burner tubes, heat plates, grates, and igniters. Even if some of those need replacement, the total cost of restoration plus parts is almost always a fraction of buying new.
There is also the environmental angle. A full-size gas grill is 60 to 120 pounds of steel, aluminum, and stainless that goes to a landfill when it is replaced. Restoration keeps that material in use and saves the energy cost of manufacturing a replacement. For homeowners who care about waste, restoration is the responsible choice.
Transparent Pricing
Full Restoration starts at $375. If replacement parts are needed (burner tubes, heat plates, igniters), we source them at cost and install them during the restoration. Part costs are separate and quoted in advance.

RecommendedGrill Restoration FAQ
At what point is a grill beyond restoration?
If the firebox has rusted through, the frame is structurally compromised, or the gas manifold is damaged, the grill may not be worth restoring. We assess this during the teardown and will tell you honestly if we find something that makes restoration impractical. You only pay for the service if we proceed.
Do you replace parts during a restoration?
If we identify failed or failing components — cracked heat plates, corroded burner tubes, dead igniters — we can source replacements for most grill brands. We show you what needs replacing, quote the part cost separately, and only proceed with your approval.
How long does a full restoration take?
Typically 2 to 3 hours on-site depending on the grill size and condition. Severely neglected grills with heavy carbon buildup can take up to 3.5 hours. We do not rush the process.
I inherited a grill with the house I just bought. Can you restore it?
This is one of our most common restoration requests. We will identify the brand and model, assess the condition, clean it thoroughly, and let you know if any components need attention before you start using it. Think of it as a grill audit plus a full reset.
Is your restoration guaranteed?
Yes. All of our work is covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with the result, we come back and make it right at no additional charge.
